Blog Assignment: Communication

My parents was the one that demonstrate the competent communication with a particular context. My family was the type of parents that we could talk to them about anything. When it was time for them to talk to me and my brothers  about the topic of  "sex" they was very open because they did not want us to make the same mistake like they did. My mom was pregnant with me at the age of seventeen along with her other sisters. I was the first grandchild on my mother side and she did not want me to get pregnant at the age of seventeen. The reason why my parents did that because they parents did not talk to them. The behaviors that  my parents made them feel effective is a honest and open communication among their children. It made us feel as children that we could talk to our parents about anything or any situation. We also had monthly family meetings of discussing any topics at school, teacher, friends or anything that is on our minds. I would want to model some of the communication behavior by keeping the communication open for my daughter. I feel less than a parent if I don't her things about life, sex, boys, just in general different topics. I like from her to hear it from me of her dad because I want to be honest and open and tell her the truth about things.
